Welcome!. We are a group of students and teachers who work in robotic topics. Our interests are focused on generate artificial behaviors in robots, playing a multitude of topics such as fuzzy logic, artificial vision, estimation, control theory, mapping, artificial intelligence, control architectures, agents ...

We are members of the European research network in robotics EURON, the Spanish Robotics Committee and of the Madrid Robotics Network.

We have::

• 2 Nao robots from Aldebaran Robotics
• 2 Pioneer robots
• 9 Sony Aibo robots
• 30 Lego RCX and NXT robots
• 6 EyeBot robots

Our research laboratory is 117 in Departamental-II building.

The group is directly related to the subjects "Robotics" (optional in 3rd course of Technical Engineering in Computer Systems), "Introduction to robotics" (free choice) and "Robótics" (PhD). Take a look at their webpages.

We are developing teams capable of playing soccer and competing in the RoboCup. This world championship is one of the most notorious events in mobile robotics. Born in 1996 as an initiative to promote science and technology are proposing a common platform for experimentation. Each year championships are organized into different categories (simulator, small robots, robots medium, standart platform). It presents a dynamic environment, real time and distributed. Because of this it is a challenging scenario for research in robotics, agents, artificial intelligence, and so... with the encouragement of competition and striking.

Another of the research lines of the group is planning for robots that exhibit a wide repertoire of the autonomous in office environments. Specifically, we have developed an architecture called JDE (Hierarchy Dynamic Diagrams) to generate hypotheses as autonomous behavior, and address the problems of perception and control partners. Using this architecture we have scheduled several behavior-based vision: tracking ball, follow-up person, navigation parallel to the walls, and so on.
